15 Master Bedroom Floor Plans, Styles and Layouts

The double-sink vanity and corner soaking tub are open to the bedroom floor plan, with just a partial wall space separating them. If you want to have plenty of room in your primary suite to spread out but still maintain dedicated spaces throughout the bathroom, this floor plan is a great option. The large bedroom area has plenty of valuable floor space to add dressers or storage and a bed. The bed is center stage on the near wall and is flooded with light from both windows and a sliding door to the attached balcony. From there, the bedroom angles into the en suite, complete with a dedicated room for the toilet, a separate nook for the shower, and tucked-away closet space. In this floor plan, the master suite is entered via a vestibule which has three doors – one leading to the closet, one to the bedroom, and the third leading to the bathroom.

Best Colors for a Master Bedroom

The bedroom layout is large enough to have a bed and a dedicated sitting area with room for an accent chair or two. You will have plenty of room to have both a large bed, and a functional sitting space complete with a couch and an accent chair. This primary bathroom is completed with a corner soaking tub and convenient double sinks in the vanity. Sometimes it is all about the bathroom, which is certainly the case with this unique space. The small space is large enough to accommodate a bed, and at least two dressers, but most of the bedroom is dedicated to the bathroom. The walk-in closet is also very extensive and features ample space for hanging clothes and also storing linens.

Include Bonus Seating

The size of your master bedroom ultimately hinges on your home’s existing footprint, unless, of course, you plan to build. For a simple master bedroom, sizes can range from roughly 110 to 200 square feet. However, today, most masters include walk-in closets and master bathrooms. These additions make the overall square footage range from about 230 to over 400 square feet.

Additional Seating for Contemporary Charm

Use a wooden bed with complementary wooden furniture that has a raw charm. Add some rugged elements like wooden ceiling beams and stone or brick accent walls. Oooh just look at those lovely beams, what we would do to have beams in our bedroom. But even if, like us, you haven't been blessed with these architectural features, you can still recreate that rustic, farmhouse feel with your decor.

The bed has easy access to both the en-suite bathroom and the balcony. There’s no need for a TV or fussy decorations in the bedroom since the floor-to-ceiling windows offer enough viewing pleasures with the unobstructed view of the enticing outdoors. Master Bedrooms, like any bedroom, are first and foremost rooms dedicated to sleep. This is why when decorating a master bedroom layout you must use calming tones and colors, such as blue or green, for a relaxing atmosphere.

To the right, you enter a traditional bathroom setting with a toilet, bidet, and corner sink to maximize available space. However, the shower extends the entire wall of the bathroom, giving a larger shower space. This layout combines the best of all worlds into a functional yet reasonable room.

Entry Vestibule Leading to Bedroom, Bathroom, and Closet

This is a similar layout to the previous one but with bigger space for a larger seating area. The en-suite bathroom is almost half the size of the entire primary bedroom and is found near the right side of the bed. There’s an addition of a console table to the left side of the bed that’s perfect for display items. While exterior finishes create curb appeal on the outside, your interior finishes determine the ambiance of your home on the inside. You can use deep tones and highlight nearby walls or countertops to add depth and interest.

While this type of setup may compromise the feeling of safety in a traditional standalone bedroom, it offers a sense of privacy when in a suite setting. The bedroom features a dressing table, which would be ideal for applying makeup, and an additional area for drawers to provide additional storage. This floorplan has positioned the bed facing a wall of windows and a door that could open out onto a terrace or large balcony area.

Planner 5D is a user-friendly platform to help us create a master bedroom layout and visualize it effortlessly. The layout for this design is both practical and rather conventional. The bedroom itself is almost rectangular but features a bump-out in the wall in order to accommodate a dresser or additional storage as well as the bed. The attached primary bathroom features not one, but two tubs, a shower, and a toilet.

It’s a common myth that modern spaces must feel harsh or unwelcoming. Wide, pane-less windows allow tons of natural light and decorate your bedroom with the beauty of your landscape and view. A splash of your favorite colors can be added with a few pieces of framed modern art and a luxuriously upholstered headboard. While too much metal can make any bedroom feel cold, the right metal modern accents achieve the opposite.

You might be tempted to use colored tiles, that match the nuance of the bedroom walls, but this will have a high chance of ending up kitschy rather than classy. Whilst it’s possible to paint the walls and ceiling the same color, this is something that is quite advanced and easy to mess up, so I advise against it. Creative wall colors, coupled with interesting floor patterns can create amazing effects. This is ideal for medium to large bedrooms as they really add to the overall spatial sensation of the room and is also great with medium to darker finishes.

This floorplan has positioned the main bedroom area in the center of the layout, with a walk-in closet off to one side and the bathroom to the other side. This is great for privacy, and it also means that different users could occupy the bathtub and the toilet simultaneously. It features two walls of rails for clothes to hang and one wall with a dressing table which would be an ideal area for applying makeup or styling hair. This is an impressive bedroom layout for anyone who has copious amounts of space and wants to be able to truly live their best life.

The large walk-in closet is opened with French doors, giving you plenty of room and storage for your clothing and accessories. This bedroom layout would certainly be the luxury dorm at any college. The bedroom area is large, with plenty of room to have dressers and storage throughout.

One very polished look features a modern twist on a classic French style, with all the typical elements, like an ornate headboard, upholstery, white paint scheme, and edgy yet refined art. With industrial pieces in place of rustic ones, it truly evokes an elegant European spirit. More importantly, such a palette is one of the most tranquil color combinations for bedrooms.

Mostly if asked for my opinion, I would like this theme to be set in my grandparents’ master bedroom because it creates a happy vibe. A room with big windows almost covering most of the wall is said to represent the glaze with the sunlight. If something redder than the off-white color is desired then the skin theme is perfect. Famous interior designers say the skin tone should match the color of your interiors as you match your clothes. If you are the kind of person who finds peace in white then this design is just for you. The master bedroom with complete white colour screams elegance we call it a white bedroom.
